We have learned how to tell when he needs to go, as he stands in one place and has a particular stance. We noticed he was doing this stance right before bed time the other night and we were able to coax him to at least sit on the potty. Well he reluctantly agreed to at least try and not long after, he could no longer hold it. We rewarded him immediately with M&M's and allowing him to flush. Bryant has an incredible motivation to please so that was all that he needed. He immediately crawled back on the toilet and was ready to do it again. We sat with him for about the next 1/2 hour rewarding him whenever he went. The next morning, upon waking up, he was ready to do it again. It has been two days now and he has gone every time he has sat on the potty. I told him that once he is potty trained, he can have both underwear and a big boy bed. While he wants to wear undwear now, at least he has an incentive! We are so relieved and he has been adamant about NOT using the potty up to this point. Whew!
Becca has recenlty become our fearless little climber. While Bryant never really pushed the limits, she does constantly. Everytime we turn around, she is standing on a chair, or trying to get on the computer desk, crawling on the coffee table, or trying to get in Bryant's high chair. This has also resulted in quite a few bumps and bruises as well as her first shiner. She still loves shoes and sometimes handing her a new pair gives us a good solid 1/2 hour of worry free peace.
