We were really impressed with how well the kids behaved in Eau Claire despite their lack of decent naps and late bedtimes. The visitation was held on Monday night so both kids were kept up past nine. Bryant told us several times "I tired now" and that he was ready for bed. Luckily the funeral home had a family room with plenty of toys. Bryant found a bus to play with and Rebecca was able to crawl around. Bryant also found his older cousins entertaining and followed the girls around.
The funeral was held on Tuesday morning. Bryant sat quietly throughout the entire church service. Each great grandchild was given a small bear and Bryant was content just to watch and snuggle with his bear. He is still very fond of it and even takes it to bed with him. Rebecca really wanted her freedom and church didn't go as well for her. She soon found her shoe though and was content to chew on it. We headed back to Monroe on Tuesday afternoon and once again Rebecca reminded us that she would rather be crawling and exploring than trapped in her car seat. It was a long ride home.
Wednesday I took both kids to the Dr. for a well child check up. Rebecca weighed in at 18 lbs 12 oz and Bryant at 24 lbs 15 oz. It was a successful trip but one I hopefully do not have to do alone for a LONG time. Both kids were given immunization boosters and it was nearly impossible to console and carry them both as well as a diaper bag, car seat, and multiple coats. Luckliy Rebecca has a quick recovery time and has no problems entertaining herself and Bryant doesn't stray far.
This is how Rebecca felt after her boosters... I think I felt this way too!
