So after tossing around the idea of starting a blog for sometime... here we are! I figured this would be a good way to keep our family and friends updated on a more regular basis.
Things have been busy here as always. Mike and I have been working hard on the house but I will save those posts for another day.
Bryant is becoming our little chatterbox. He loves trucks of all kind and gets excited when we see semis aka big trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, school buses aka cool bus, etc. We are working on manners so please, thank you and excuse me are frequently used phrases. We are trying to phase out the whining and it seems to be working. We were so proud of him this evening when he pleasantly asked to be picked up and even followed it up with a thank you. The poor little peanut has been having some emotional days lately which we attribute to more teeth. We found a new molar peeking through the other evening while brushing his teeth.

Becca is growing like a weed and this week may very well be the last week she is able to wear 9 month pajamas. She is pulling herself up on everything and we frequently catch her standing on her own (only for a few seconds when she doesn't realize she isn't holding onto anything). This past weekend, she started playing with Bryant. She pushes him on his toy train. He is such a great big brother to her and makes sure to go slow so she can keep up. Rebecca is also getting more teeth. She now has 4 uppers, and 3 lowers.

The kids recently celebrated Halloween. Bryant was a pumpkin and Rebecca was a lady bug. We participated in the local Halloween parade. Bryant enjoyed it but it was a bit too cool for Rebecca. I took Bryant around the block to visit different houses. He was a little unsure at first but it didn't take him long to realize that "trick or treat" meant that he was going to get a treat. He ended up dropping the trick part and just asking for a treat. Later when he would see his snack bag, he would ask for his "trick or treat". Here are some pics from the weekend:

Jaeta has been extremely naughty lately. Last week she emptied the trash can twice in one morning and spilled coffee grounds ALL over the floor. So twice I had to clean up after her. This last weekend we had chicken and she lifted the lid of the trash can and stole a chicken bone all in about 10 seconds time. Before we realized what she had done, she had inhaled it. Luckily she vomited up most of it. We have to watch her like a hawk though as she will not hesitate to steal Bryant's snacks, clean up his plate, or even take things off the counter. For a 10 yr old dog she is awfully naughty.

I love it! Can't wait to see how great the wedding pictures are! :) I know how good they are of the kids so I am sure both Karen and I will have amazing wedding memories captured in your pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteBri- Thanks for doing this and including me! I miss you guys so much so at least I can keep updated this way. The kids are precious as always and glad you all seem to be doing well.
